On June 1st, Billionaire Boys Club celebrated their 20th Anniversary at the NYC Flagship location. The event started at 5:00pm but even before then the line was insane, a block long and if you know what a New York block looks like well, you can just imagine. About an hour later, the panel discussion began which included Vashtie, Rob Walker, Loic Villepontoux, Phillip Leeds, Shadi, and Mimi Choi, who have all played key roles in the evolution of the brand. Each speaker gave insights and perspectives on each of their positions in helping shape the streetwear culture & BBC brand. To commemorate the 20th anniversary BBC sold exclusive T-shirts, throwback sounds were played by Dj Mike Nasty and Hiatus Spirits provided great tasting drinks throughout the night. The event was inspirational, filled with great memories, and to say BBC has been pivotal in redefining the street culture is an understatement. TAKE HEED because the street culture is very much alive, thriving and shall continue to endure for future generations to come.
